Frugal? Or just pure genius?

the inspiration: ballet flats from j.crew (ranging in price from $140 to $268) love the shoes, hate the price. i'm sorry, but that is highway robbery. i don't even think people who can afford $250 ballet flats should be buying $250 ballet flats.

but, hey, that's just me.

these are two-year-old flats from the old navy that i got for $4.99, i think.

i bought some ribbon & baubles from wal-mart; about $5.

finished product.
i know it's not italian craftsmanship, but
for less than $12...
who cares?
